How to get rid of a virus?
Daniel Oviedo - Wongin The View
Animation
2025

This animation short combines 2D frame-by-frame character animation, UI design, and original sound design to tell the playful yet chaotic story of a stickman living inside a computer who accidentally downloads a virus. The digital world around him spirals into glitchy mayhem, culminating in an epic battle.
The first part was animating the stickman character in Procreate Dreams at 24 FPS, from rough animatics to the clean final animation, ensuring fluidity, expressiveness, and humor. I also composed the original soundtrack in Ableton Live, recorded foley effects, and mixed everything in Adobe Audition to match the fast-paced visuals.
The other part of the process included designing interactive desktop environments in Adobe Illustrator and animating them in After Effects to simulate a reactive OS under attack. The result is a visually engaging, rhythm-driven piece filled with pop-up spam windows, fake “YOU WON!” banners, and stylized glitch effects.
This project was both a technical and storytelling challenge, merging narrative structure with visual rhythm and emphasizing the importance of teamwork, clear role division, and creative problem-solving.
